DOUGLAS M. DUHAMEL Q.C.

Doug graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and subsequently obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree in 1973. Thereafter he articled in Edmonton, and in 1975 moved to Red Deer. He was one of the founding members of the firm in 1976.

Preferred areas of practice include: commercial transactions, corporate law, wills and estate planning, real estate and mortgages. Doug has extensive experience in commercial and tax transactions on behalf of numerous clients involved in independent business, agriculture and the oil and gas service industry.

Doug has been actively involved with the Provincial Progressive Conservative Party as Regional Campaign Manager and Regional Campaign Coordinator. Additionally, he has served as President of the Red Deer and District YMCA, President of the Kiwanis Club of Waskasoo and as a Director of the Alberta Lung Association.



GERARD N. FEEHAN Q.C.

Gerry is a retired member of the firm.

Gerry graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Mathematics) with honors in 1978. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree in 1982. He articled with the firm in 1982, was admitted to membership in the Law Society of Alberta in 1983, and became a Partner in 1987.

He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2006 and was the firm’s senior partner until his retirement in 2009.

Gerry’s practice as a solicitor included the areas of wills and estate planning, business law and real estate. He is also a registered Trade Mark Agent.

Gerry is a former president of the Red Deer Golf and Country Club. He is a former vice-president of the Red Deer Rebels Scholarship Foundation. He is also a life-member and past President of the Kinsmen Club of Red Deer.

Gerry is married to Florence. They have four grown children.



STACEY M. JOHNSON

Stacey M. Johnson, after practicing in Edmonton, joined the firm of Duhamel Manning Feehan Warrender Glass in September of 1997. Stacey is originally from a rural community near the City of Red Deer and her family still farms there.

Stacey started her post-secondary education at Red Deer College in the Bachelor of Commerce transfer program. She completed her Bachelor of Commerce Degree (with Distinction) in 1992 at the University of Alberta and then attended law school at the University of Alberta. During law school, Stacey was the recipient of the Dr. Alexander Smith, Q.C. Bursary for 3rd Year Law and was on the Dean's honor roll.

Stacey has taken advanced mediation training and is a Registered Family Mediator with Alberta Family Mediation Society.

Stacey is currently on leave from the firm.
