ROBERT J. WARRENDER |
Rob graduated from the University of Calgary
with a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce in 1980 and subsequently from the
University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Laws Degree in 1983. He commenced
his Articles with our firm in 1983, was admitted to membership in the Law
Society of Alberta in 1984 and became a Partner in 1988. His
corporate/commercial practice includes the areas of commercial and
corporate law, real estate,
mortgages, estates, oil and gas, and estates.
Rob has been actively involved in numerous
Boards in the community, having served on the Board of Directors of
Alberta Special Olympics, the Red Deer Titans Rugby Football Club and as
President and on the Board of Directors of the Red Deer and District YMCA.
Rob currently acts as Treasurer of CrossRoads
Evangelical Missionary Church and provides pro bono legal services to a
number of local charities.
Rob is married, and has two adult daughters.

JAMES A. GLASS Q.C. |
Jim
graduated from the
University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon in 1987 with a Bachelor of Laws
Degree. He is a native Albertan and commenced his articles with
our firm in July, 1987. He was admitted to the Law Society of
Alberta in July 1988 and to the partnership effectiveMay 1, 1992. Jim was granted
his Queen's Counsel designation in February of 2010.
Jim carries on a
litigation practice with preferred areas of practice in family law and
foreclosure/collection and civil litigation.
Jim
currently
sits as
a Bencher for the
Law Society of Alberta. He
is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Alberta Civil Trial
Lawyers Association, Central Alberta Bar Association and the Central
Alberta Collaborative Lawyers Association.
Jim
has been on the
Board of Directors of the Red Deer Board of Junior Achievement, was
President of the Parkland Humane S.P.C.A. and was also President of the
Red Deer City Soccer Association. He has also coached in the Red
Deer Minor Soccer Association.
Jim has three children.

GLEN D. CUNNINGHAM |
Glen obtained a diploma of Electrical
Engineering Technology in 1983 and became certified through his work in
that field. He returned to school and graduated from the University of
Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Laws Degree in 1991. Glen articled with
our firm and practiced with our firm until 1994, when he founded the firm
of Cunningham Melnyk and practiced there until March 1, 1997, at which
time he returned to our firm.
Glen's practice as a solicitor includes the areas of real estate, wills,
estate planning, business and corporate law.
Glen is past president of the Red Deer Central Lions Club and an active
member of the Piper Creek Optimist Club.

TOM G. LANGFORD |
Tom graduated from the University of Alberta in 1999 with a Bachelors of
Laws degree, with Distinction. He completed his Articles with the firm in June,
2000, and joined the partnership in January, 2005. Prior to returning home to
Alberta to study law, Tom worked in the aviation industry for 15 years,
most notably in Air Traffic Services and as a Professor of aviation
management. Tom has also completed the Canadian Institute of
Chartered Accountants' In-Depth Tax Courses.
Preferred areas of practice include:
corporate law, tax, commercial transactions, mortgages, real estate, and wills
and estates.
Tom
was on the Board of Directors
and was the President of the Red
Deer Chamber of Commerce for the 2004/05 year, and has also been on the Board of
Directors of the Red Deer Regional Airport Authority and the Westerner.

GLYN L. WALTERS
|
Glyn
completed his Bachelor of Laws at the University of Alberta in April 1999.
After
articling in Edmonton, Glyn joined the firm of Duhamel Manning Feehan
Warrender Glass in October, 2000 and has a general litigation practice with
focus on the areas of family law, criminal law and collections.
Glyn is
presently on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity and is married with
three children.

JAMES B. CAWSEY |
James attended the University of Alberta, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts with first class honors in 2003, and a Bachelor of Laws degree in 2007. He then commenced his articles with the firm and was called to the Bar in 2008.
James joined the partnership in January of 2013.
James carries on a mixed solicitor and litigation practice, with an emphasis on corporate/commercial law, real estate, debt collection, foreclosure and wills and estates.
James is an active member of the Kinsmen Club of Red Deer, serving as the Membership Director in the 2009-2010 year, and the Service Director for the 2010-2011 year.

DONALD J. MANNING
|
Don graduated from the University of Alberta
with a Bachelor of Physical Education Degree and later in 1974 obtained
his Bachelor of Laws Degree. He articled in Edmonton with the firm of
Duncan & Craig and thereafter located in Red Deer in 1976 as one of the
founding members.
Don carries on a general practice in law.
He is a past Director of the Red Deer Chamber of Commerce and served seven
years as a leader with Scouts Canada. Don also served seven years as
a Director and Chairperson on the Central Alberta Legal Aid Appeal
Committee and for the past seven years as a Director for the AMA.

GINA L. TONI
|
Gina obtained both her
Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Psychology (1999) and her Bachelor of
Laws (2004) from the University of Saskatchewan. Gina moved to Red Deer in
2004, and completed her articles with the firm, receiving her membership to
the Law Society of Alberta in August of 2005. Gina practices primarily in
the area of Family Law, Collaborative Family Law, and Child Welfare, but
also does some Real Estate.
Gina is a member of the Association of Collaborative
Lawyers of Central Alberta and is the Secretary of the Central Alberta Bar
Association.
When not working, Gina
enjoys spending time with her family, practicing yoga and is an avid runner.

DAVID P. BRANT
|
David graduated from the University of Waterloo, ON with a bachelor of Arts Degree in 2004 and obtained his L.L.B. degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2008. David moved to Red Deer shortly after graduation and commenced his articles with Duhamel Manning Feehan Warrender Glass in the summer of 2008 and is currently an associate with the firm.
Preferred areas of practice include Civil Litigation, Family Law, Real Estate, and Wills and Estates.
David and his wife Ashley live in Red Deer and enjoy a variety of sports and activities, as well as spending time with family and friends.
David is a member of the Association of Collaborative Lawyers of Central Alberta and also currently serves on the Alberta Lawyers Assistance Board, the Red Deer PC South Board, and the Central Alberta Ronald MacDonald House Charity Board.

KLARA COZENS |
Klara graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in 2006 from the
University of Calgary and obtained her Bachelor of Laws Degree from the
University of Manitoba in 2010. Klara completed her articles with the firm and
was called to the Alberta Bar in March 2011.
Klara practices primarily in the areas of family law and child welfare.
Klara serves on the Board of Directors of Family Services of Central
Alberta and is a volunteer lawyer at the Central Alberta Community Legal Clinic.
She is a member of the executive of the Central Alberta Bar Association.
In her spare time, Klara enjoys running, travelling and spending time
with her family.

MONICA R. BROWN |
Monica obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Calgary in 1997. After articling in Peace River under now Judge G.W. Paul, Monica moved with her family to Red Deer in January 2000, and joined the firm in April 2011 as an associate. Monica's primary area of practice is family law.
Away from the office, Monica enjoys golf and other outdoor pursuits such as hiking and skiing, as well as cooking and travel, especially to Whitefish, Montana.

NADINE M. ARENDT |
Nadine grew up in Red Deer, attended Red Deer College for two years, and then transferred to the University of Alberta where she graduated first in her class and was awarded the Duncan Alexander MacGibbon Gold Medal in Political Science for the highest academic standing in the Political Science Honours Program. She then continued her education with the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta, where she graduated on the Dean’s List, receiving her law degree with honours and distinction. As a law student Nadine was an articles editor with the Alberta Law Review and was selected to compete in the national Corporate Securities Moot and the national Laskin Memorial Moot.
Nadine’s legal experience comes from a variety of settings which include articling with the Alberta Court of Appeal and Court of Queen’s Bench in Calgary, working as an associate in three large international law firms in Toronto, New York and Calgary and working as Legal Counsel with the Corporate Finance Group of the Alberta Securities Commission. Nadine is called to the bars of Alberta (the Law Society of Alberta), Ontario (the Law Society of Upper Canada) and New York.
Nadine’s preferred areas of practice include corporate commercial law, civil litigation, wills and estates, residential real estate and family law. She is also a trained Collaborative Law Lawyer and Mediator, a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Central Alberta Bar Association and the Association of Collaborative Law Lawyers of Central Alberta.
Nadine is also involved in the community as a peer volunteer with the ASSIST Peer Support Program (Alberta Lawyers Assistance Society), is a member of the Rotary Club (Downtown) and is a board member for the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra.
Nadine is an avid runner. She was captain of the Red Deer College Queens cross country running team and was a member of the University of Alberta Pandas cross country running team. Nadine has completed seven marathons to date.
